Parts, Quotes & Ordering
Is Drake Controls an authorized Woodward distributor?
Yes. Drake Controls has been an authorized Woodward distributor, service center, and Recognized Turbine Retrofitter since 2002, and is one of Woodward’s largest global channel partners. We sell genuine Woodward parts and controls from stocking locations across the United States and Mexico. Learn more about Drake Controls.
How do I request a quote for Woodward parts or controls?
Submit our quote request form or email sales@drakecontrols.com. Include part numbers and quantities if you have them. If you don’t, send what you know about the unit and the application, and our team will identify the right part.
Can I buy on a purchase order?
Yes. We accept purchase orders from customers with an established credit account, as well as credit card payment. To set up an account, download the credit application on our Contact page and return it to sales@drakecontrols.com.
Obsolescence & Product Support
My Woodward control is obsolete or discontinued. Can you still support it?
In most cases, yes. We repair and overhaul many legacy Woodward governors and controls, and when repair no longer makes sense we engineer retrofits to current platforms such as the Peak 200 and MicroNet. See obsolescence support, or email service@drakecontrols.com with the model and serial number of your unit.
What replaced the Woodward Peak 150?
The Woodward Peak 200. Woodward has retired the Peak 150, and the Peak 200 is its current single-valve steam turbine control. Most Peak 150 installations have a straightforward retrofit path to the Peak 200, and it is one of the most common upgrades we perform.
What is PNEU-TRIP?
PNEU-TRIP is Drake Controls’ own engineered electro-pneumatic trip system for steam turbine overspeed protection. It is commonly installed as part of an API 670 overspeed protection retrofit, paired with a Woodward Peak 200 or ProTech overspeed device.

Do you offer training on Woodward control systems?
Yes. Training is delivered on request and scheduled around your team, either at your site or at a Drake Controls facility. We train on current platforms such as the Peak 200, 505 series, and MicroNet, as well as legacy electronic and mechanical governors still in service. See Training or start with the training registration form.
Company
What applications do you support?

What is a Woodward Recognized Turbine Retrofitter (RTR)?
Recognized Turbine Retrofitter is a Woodward credential identifying partners qualified to engineer and execute turbine control retrofits on Woodward platforms. Drake Controls is a Woodward RTR, which means our retrofit engineering and commissioning practices meet Woodward’s standards for turbine control upgrades.

Do you represent manufacturers other than Woodward?
Yes. In addition to being an authorized Woodward distributor, Drake Controls represents Dynalco engine instrumentation and monitoring products. Woodward remains the core of our distribution, repair, and retrofit business.
